Textile Coating Solutions Silicone-Coated Technical Fabrics
Textile Coating Additives for Functional Fabric Performance
Textile coating refers to the application of one or more layers of functional polymer materials on the surface of fabrics, thereby endowing the fabrics with excellent properties that they originally did not possess. It can enhance durability and extend lifespan, and improve the fabric’s resistance to friction, snagging and tearing. In addition to providing protection and shielding functions, it can also change the appearance and feel.

Key Issues we solve for our clients
KOSNANO offers nano-oxide sols/dispersions specifically designed for textile coatings, as well as processing carriers that enable all nano-functional coatings. The coating made of nano-silica has the synergistic functions of superhydrophobicity, anti-fouling, wear resistance and flame retardancy. The nano-zinc oxide coating has the functions of antibacterial, anti-ultraviolet and self-cleaning. Nano-titanium oxide, as a functional material for photocatalytic self-cleaning, UV resistance and antibacterial properties, should be applied in the coating. Nano-alumina can be used to enhance wear resistance and scratch resistance in durable textiles.

Our textile-specific silica dispersion
1. Enhances the adhesion between slurry and fiber, improving the bonding strength. The active surface of nano SiO₂ interacts with hydroxyl groups in starch and cotton fibers, effectively enhancing adhesion and cohesion. 2. Improves the slurry’s adhesion to various fibers and enhances fabric coating performance. 3. Increases strength, smoothness, and reduces fuzz and hairiness. 4. The film formed by nano SiO₂-modified slurry is more wear-resistant and durable than that formed by pure starch slurry.
